Invited users ending up with unactivated account

I sent invitation to new email. Then clicked link and activated that new account.
At that time I was in incognito mode.
Later I tried to sing in again and I saw this:
"You can't log in yet. We previously sent an activation email to you at _email_. Please follow the instructions in that email to activate your account. Click here to send the activation email again.
But When I click send again it gives:
Sorry, this account has already been activated."
So now I am not able to sing in with that account.
Is this bug related to incognito mode of browser or every user, who get invitation will face this problem??

I was able to login using Password reset
