# Invites are not working

Hello,
We recently have encountered a problem with inviting new members to our Discourse.
When adding new members by email, when selecting “Save & Send Email” it doesn’t appear to do anything.
Any suggestions?

Hi Jacob,
I have just tested the ‘save and send email’ button and it seems to be working fine.
Expected behaviour:
- Popup window closes
- Recipient receives the email
Does it get stuck after you click on “Save & Send Email” button?

Thank you for your response.
Yes, it is getting stuck on the “Save & Send Email” button. After I click it, nothing happens. The popup window doesn’t even close. I’ve tried different browsers, thinking it could be a funny thing Chrome was doing, but it’s the same for the other browsers as well.

Are you sure, that the e-mail is not already used?

I’m 100% positive the email address is not already used. We’ve tried several different email addresses for troubeshooting. All with the same results.

Is outgoing email properly configured on you forum? Does admin test email work?
