# Invites not working properly

So basically, I put these invites on my bio so people can be invited by me. I get the notifications saying they were invited by me, but it does not show anything in my invites. Also the person’s profile doesn’t show that they were invited by me either.

are you sure you are looking in the redeemed invites tab at `my/invited/redeemed`
I just tested invites and they are working as expected for both the inviter and invitee.

Yes, it is on the gimkit forums though. Also it seems to be working properly for everyone else however.

I just checked my profile (same forums) and it seems like it works for me. I can see that I was invited by ‘myself’, and my invites counter seems accurate.

Which is known to use an outdated version. So maybe whatever causes this has already been fixed for a year.
If you have a problem in a specific forum and it does not happen at [try.discourse.org](http://try.discourse.org) or other forums it’s often helpful to contact the admin of that forum first. They can check settings and customizations they have added.
By the way: posting an unlimited invite link in public can cause spam in the forum. If admins don’t change the setting that invited users get a trust bonus and start at trust level 1, spammers can use the link to bypass the tl0 limitations.
