Discourse not rendering full page on older iPad

I’ve had a report from two separate users of my forum that the site is unusable as nothing is rendered beyond the topic title on their iPads (one is an iPad mini 2; unsure of the vintage of the other). I asked one of the users to check in safe mode and the problem remained. Apparently this issue came about in the last few days (I recently updated Discourse).
