# iOS keyboard not prompted on PWA

i turned on the rich text composer, and have been having issues with Safari PWA keyboard today, before and after updating

Can you reproduce this issue here?
It’s very unlikely that this is being caused by just enabling the rich editor, which just adds the toggle and defers the actual loading of the rich editor and its dependencies to after toggling it.
Can you test if force-closing the PWA and opening it again, or rebuilding your instance, changes anything?
Let us know if you have reproduction steps that work here on Meta, or if you can share your site’s URL (even ir privately).

What’s your iOS version?
I can’t reproduce it here or on any of the Discourse PWAs I have installed, I re-added the home screen shortcut and still the same.

this issue first appeared today, but also on a discourse instance 7 commits behind (or 1 for reactions plugin). Now i have discourse meta as a safari pwa

Sorry, I can’t reproduce it on the same iOS version, different PWAs on different communities.
Just to better understand the issue, when that happens, does it happen in other input fields outside the composer, that should also trigger the virtual keyboard but don’t?

i have returned to home WiFi, time will tell, but i think this issue is transient network condition
s arising from the use of mobile data or being inside buildings insulated using multifoil, etc.
perhaps the server being in same country deosn’t help in this
