# Is it possible to hide the user listing page

Is it possible to hide the user page?

In the set up we need its ok for users to discover each others profiles via posts but not a list all users in the system.

Assuming its not possible with a setting (i can’t find one), what would be the next best approach? Would I build this through a plugin?

Did you search site settings.. at all?

> enable user directory
> 
> Provide a directory of users for browsing

Obviously not hard enough 🙂

Looks like if you type “user” in settings search, “enable user directory” doesn’t appear in the “ALL” list. ALL is truncated after a certain number of settings and i didn’t notice until i took a second look!

To be fair, it says there are 160 matches, but it limits to 30 (or so it seems)
