# Is it safe to rename discobot?

Hello,

For relevance purpose I want to rename the bot.  
Here is what I did in its profile :

Then I changed the narrative in its profile:

Will I break something doing this ?  
Should I consider any other settings to be changed accordingly ?

Just put it this way… the pencil icons wouldn’t be there if changing name would break the bot 😉

Yeah, I add a bot user with my [Discourse Frotz 🧙](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-frotz-an-interactive-fiction-game-bot/140617) plugin. You can name it what you like 🙂 I figure a negative user id might have some purpose, so made sure mine had.
