# Is there a way to disable including the post body in email notifications?

I have legitimate reasons for wanting this. In short, I’d like the email notifications about new posts to **not** include the post content/body as well, but just say that there is a new post.

Many thanks for the pointer. I just cast my vote in there. Do you know if the email template editing bug was fixed as a workaround? I’m using 1.8.0.beta8+57

Possibly. @neil made some changes a few weeks ago, but I no longer have access to the forums where I had the issue (changed jobs) so I haven’t been able to test it.
