Is there a way to make the main page category layout different for different themes?

I thought this was a cool idea, so I created a tiny theme component to accomplish this if you are interested:

Categories Layout Override

Normally the desktop categories page layout is set via a global site setting. When added to a theme, this component will allow you to override the layout of the categories page for that specific theme.
