I was able to style comments. Very basic was my styling lol… but an improvement. The only thing left to do is to remove the list of participants at the bottom of WP- Discourse imported comment section. I can’t use this code because it throws an error due to using “self”. I didn’t remove the participants’ section. If you are thinking about doing so, give it a chance, as with other Discourse features; the Devs have put some thought into it.
