I’d assume that this isn’t a common use-case, and so it wasn’t seen as a needed core feature. I _think_ you could theoretically do something with [reverse engineering the discourse API](https://meta.discourse.org/t/reverse-engineer-the-discourse-api/20576), but I’m not sure.
