# Keep Custom HTML/CSS when Updating Theme Components

Hi,

I have a lot of custom css in some of my theme components. Is there an easy way to update theme components without having all my custom css being wiped?

The best way is to put your customization in a separate theme component. Another possibility is to fork them and manage your customization with git.
