# Keyboard navigation messes up the search menu

# Reproduction
1. Load [https://meta.discourse.org/latest](https://meta.discourse.org/latest)
2. Press `j` to select the first topic
3. Press `/` to open the search box
4. Type _stuff_ + return to search
5. Press the ↓ to select + return to open the first search result
# Behaviors
- Expected: the first search result to open – [Anything else on same Digital Ocean droplet as Discourse?](https://meta.discourse.org/t/anything-else-on-same-digital-ocean-droplet-as-discourse/166585)

This will be fixed in the glimmer search menu via
[https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/24393](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/24393)
I will add a fix for the widget search menu as well as it is pretty straightforward.

The Glimmer search menu has been [made the new default](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/25092) which resolves this issue. We are good to close 🙂
