# Kudos for Discourse, ecosystem & Pavilion

Discourse team is an amazing example of how to develop in open, grow as a successful business and creating avenues for a flourishing ecosystem to emerge. Huge fan for what you are achieving.

This is also to congratulate one of the prolific contributor @angus . Not only he has created wonderful plugins but has setup a good freelancer cooperative ( [https://thepavilion.io/](https://thepavilion.io/)) to do discourse related work.

I just randomly stumbled on to a post ( [Pavilion](https://thepavilion.io/t/theme-component-navigation-on-user-page/1639)) and found good things there

- Direct interaction with customer requests
- Open pricing model
- Mentorship
- Open source code as an output

I loved the overall culture created in Pavilion & Discourse Community.
