I finally installed the [data explorer](https://meta.discourse.org/t/32566?silent=true) plugin and have been able to start getting better visibility into some of these engagement metrics I was looking for that have more to do with [reading activity](https://meta.discourse.org/t/active-readers-since-n-days-ago/275136).
