# Latest version of Docker required?

Hello,  
is it safe to use the Docker package from Ubuntu sources or is it necessary to install the latest version from [docker.com](http://docker.com)? I reluctantly use other packet sources…

It should work provided the Ubuntu package is not too old. Give it a try.
