iirc all the let’s encrypt clients have some kind of automation to check for certificates expiring in the next n days and automatically renewing them. So by that logic there shouldn’t be any impact.

is this done by a cron job, rather than a sidekiq task ?

Yes, it is handled by `acme.sh` which sets up its own cronjob.
