The folks at Let’s Encrypt have kicked off a crowd funding campaign. If you use their service for your self hosted Discourse site, or generally support what they are doing, consider making a donation (and spread the word).

Yes, we already donated an estimate of what we would have paid for Comodo certs for a year. That is my recommendation – if you can afford it, pay them what you would have paid, if HTTPS certs were no longer free!
And of course we host the [Let’s Encrypt community](https://community.letsencrypt.org/) gratis. 😉

They’re called “Let’s Encrypt” and they’re not accepting bitcoin as donation. Strange guys
