Here are a few screenshots of suspicious behavior: Light theme displays color palette 1: ![Screenshot 2025-07-18 at 12.06.54 PM](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/1/0/a/10a267892e5cd1b699cd0f79a2494ef260f34fc5.png) Trying to change it doesn’t show “Theme Default” as an option: ![Screenshot 2025-07-18 at 12.14.10 PM](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/a/9/7/a97257bb6ddd000f70363a13a51c1487f441d1fa.png) Choosing “Light (manual)” (a custom palette I created using the default to try and get a default light palette that didn’t rely on the default) fixes things, but still doesn’t show an option to use the theme default: ![Screenshot 2025-07-18 at 12.13.58 PM](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/d/5/7/d57625e02c21302669ce4cdb294885bf6397b664.png) In the admin interface, selecting the light palette: ![Screenshot 2025-07-18 at 12.19.20 PM](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/b/5/6/b565d7a194ffc1b09a1e5542dd6dece7b05bb0e2.png) and clicking preview gives a dark-background preview: ![Screenshot 2025-07-18 at 12.19.43 PM](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/7/c/6/7c6cc98c680a39519ca98f1acc731c324e1136ad.png) -Brad --- _[View the full topic](https://meta.discourse.org/t/light-theme-palette-previews-as-dark-breaks-personal-palette-options/374840)._
