# Like, dislike or ambivalent

As a topic reader I would like a way to quickly (1 click) express a positive, ambivalent or negative response to a post. As a topic writer I would like a way to gauge how I’m doing in the community via a simple set of ‘metrics’.
Both needs are partially served by the Like feature but there is no way that I can see to quickly capture the other two responses.
Perhaps something like a thumbs-down or thumbs-sideways to go along with the Like?
I know there might be a risk of community negativity with a thumbs-down but might that be handled by higher trust levels before you can respectfully express disagreement like this?
