# Limit topic creation to subcategories

Is there any way to prevent creating a post at Parent category level?
Only want post to be created in Sub Category so that information is organized.
For example-
Parent Category = USA (country level)
Sub Category 1 = California (state level)
Sub Category 2 = Arizona (state level)
User should only be able to create post in State level, not country level.

You can remove the “create” permission in the category settings
