Link to uploads is valid but says "oops, broken"

In post Switch Audio Source - Macro Library - Keyboard Maestro Discourse on my forum, there is a link:

[AudioSwitcher.zip](https://forum.keyboardmaestro.com/uploads/default/original/2X/3/3d208a21186eb96aefbc9f6c2ff093296c12722d.zip)

If you click on the link, you are taken to a page with the url:

https://forum.keyboardmaestro.com/uploads/default/original/2X/3/3d208a21186eb96aefbc9f6c2ff093296c12722d.zip

saying “Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private.”

But if you just use the URL directly and enter that into the address field in the browser, then the download works.

So it looks like some sort of failure of the click event mechanism?

Is this a bug, or something else going on?

Are you on the latest version of Discourse?

(Peter N Lewis) #3

The latest release version, yes. 1.5.3.

Any chance you could update to latest beta of 1.6? I remember us modifying the code that hijacks clicks.

I am very hesitant to install the beta on a production forum. If you think it is fixed in 1.6, then I guess I’ll revisit it when 1.6 is released.
