# Linking to a heading within a post or topic

As a separate issue, I find the link provided by the (invisible) icon does not work from the same topic. If the icon gives me:

`https://forum.example.com/t/testing-anchors/63647#p-311503-heading-1`

I have to create my link using only `#p-311503-heading-1`, not the full url. The full url does work if I paste it in the browser though.

I’m up-to-date with 3.6.0.beta3-latest.
