# Links in banner topics, clicks not tracked

When someone clicks a link in a topic, that click is tracked and we see a counter of the number of users who have clicked that link.

Now, assume a topic is pinned as a banner topic, as such:

When I click a topic link from here, the click is not counted.

Here’s a screenshot of the topic after clicking the link from the banner (notice no click counter next to the link):

When I click the link from this view (on the topic page), it is counted as expected:

**Expected Behavior**  
Clicks on links within a banner topic should be counted.
