Links in generated email are incorrect

(James Cook) #1

I’m running Discourse on a subdomain (forum.url.com). When users request a password reset, the link it generates is links.url.com, missing out the forum part.

I’ve checked my app.yml and my discourse hostname is forum.url.com

Any idea how I fix this?

Thanks

er… what? That makes no sense. The site is at

x.example.com

and it is sending

y.example.com

Sounds like you didn’t rebuild after changing the hostname?

I never changed the host name, it was always set up at forum.example.com

I only just noticed now as I have imported data from another site and needed to reset a password for an account.

Beats me. I didn’t know if it was something to do with link tracking or something?

The link looks like this:

http://forum.evowners.com/users/password-reset/31fc6e80ddbb74a5b5c9e96d135d8996

But actually links to this:

http://links.evowners.com/wf/click?upn=hDjpih8X1FJM7d3zQJCZqfNB8Wr4647fhy620HHVXtjMGlrV7JklrE-2BWAhrXUEgM0SM5PsxjH0IyH0DUZ5mkFZOBH4k-2DcOsxgI7kRNWaxZPFhKF-2FcsJ-2BzfIX40Cs6V06_-2BV6ubrn5e3vbxeC3HcC4o7CeEvpOWDzjCQAf6kipSr7E0bBxgj6rvew0KdUVYiqddXYt8-2F-2FlaNy6KuI7yW6f5YPFm1VHVM8ldwrcr93qR0k9TXF6bF15iyInOK-2FJwT5j-2F8RlpIsgjjwvnp7qoZaZGA0rwAurKa1zO2iBu6iigyfttpV7KyWeCKnTXonlI8yB9s-2F4zWBv2Op5dI0lrEwDpj93XuTbZ-2FMsGH0VjTIYJTQ-3D

I’ve changed random characters to make the links invalid but you get the idea.

This is your email service adding link tracking, it has nothing to do with us…

Ahhh crap. Apologies. I will look into it. Thanks for the help!
