List of css variables

Does anyone have a full list of css variables which can be changed such as this one I was told about earlier:-

.category-description {
color: black;

You should open your browser’s console and inspect the source code to figure out which CSS class you want to target :wink:

Thanks for that, great tip :slight_smile:

I am having a little difficulty making out the css tags in the source page.

I highly recommend that you learn some HTML & CSS before attempting to do any customisation.

Hi, I have done a bit of css/html (enough to get by) but its finding the correct css tag I am struggling with.

Use Chrome, right click and Inspect Element.
A world of wonder awaits you!

Nothing personal, but the fact that you referred to “CSS variables” and “CSS tags” suggests that you could benefit from a bit of a refresher. eg.

Firefox and IE also have their version of Dev Tools

eg. Firefox dev tools shows the “selector bread-crumb” below the tabs and shows what rules are being applied in the right pane. Once you get the hang of it you can even do live edits to see the effect they have.

View-source won’t get you far with working with the Discourse DOM
It would be impossible to put together a list of all possible selectors.
IMHO you really should learn how to use your browser’s dev tools, you’ll be glad you did
