Since the magic link feature is based on the password reset logic, this is most likely a duplicate of this report from earlier today:

Password reset: "User unknown", even if it exists

Hi there, as our users try to reset their password, they get an error message that the user doesn’t exist, even if it does. However, the email is being sent (so it’s not that critical).
