# Live typing feature

Is there anyway to show live typing dots (like iMessage or Facebook messenger) when somebody is typing a reply in a topic?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Yes! Is that a standard feature in discourse? Or do I need to install anything?

And is there anyway to edit this feature/make it more apparent that someone is replying?

This is a feature that is default for Discourse. No need to install anything :wink:

Thank you very much! Would you be able to point me in the direction of where to find the code that I can change?

And/or how I can make it more apparent to look like iMessage/fb messenger?
