Hello
Iâm having a problem loading the map when I switch from one map to another.
Explanations:
Each map is in a different category
If I change category by category page or by complete URL, everything is OK
The problem occurs if I go through the sidebar.
The sidebar uses a partial URL:
Do you have a solution?

With a newer version of Discourse I installed/updated yesterday, the message changed:

The existing (quite large) PR broke because of the new draft system which dropped, so itâs been delayed and Iâll have to try to resolve that.
I will be releasing the PR once ready with an opportunity for the community and organisations to sponsor my work to help guarantee that this plugin gets maintained in a timely fashion.

- FEATURE: you can now click on a Topic location on the Topic List and it will bring up a map in a modal showing the location. đș đ
- FEATURE: new setting `location_short_names` removes the address from the location display for Topics, allow you to tailor what is shown.
- COMPATIBILITY: resolves a host of deprecations to maintain compatibility with core:
- Topic List front end API changes
- Fontawesome icon name changes
- New Topic Draft system.
- FIX: Topic Locations: when setting a Topic Location via selector (not Input Fields), this resulted in a blank Location being displayed.
- FIX: formatting of Location Selector is much much nicer.

It might be helpful to add âquick startâ section to docs that covers the basics of initial setup. Two things that took me a minute to understand:
- The only way to allow people to start adding locations to topics is by editing the category settings for each category. It wonât just automatically allow it for all categories.
- The defaults work out of the box for testing/low volume usage, using nominatim as the geocoding provider.
A âtroubleshooting tipsâ section might also be helpful.
I am able to get locations to work to put users on a map. Cool! đ
I am not able to get locations to work in topics. Not so cool! đ
I am able to select the popup to add a location, type it in, select Find Address, select the found address. But then Selecting Done does nothing. There is a bunch of stuff showing up on the javascript console:

This is why this plugin needs proper funding.
I had closed out a multitude of deprecations and the console was clear, but looks like there are now further changes required to be compatible with core. đ
I suspect the composer changes related to drafts might be at the root of this, Iâll take a look at this when I have time.

That worked! Nice job. Iâll play with this for a bit and see how far I can take it on my sites. I have one site I run for my neighborhood, and it might be interesting to show everybody associated with their home.
On my site, the map is a bit wide for the topic space, covering the admin wrench.

itâs kind of a modal, itâs not supposed to stay up - you are just supposed to be peeking, then collapsing it to carry on with your day. It definitely hasnât been a requirement to combine the map functionality with admin tools đ
when it was smaller, users complained it wasnât big enough.
