# Login setting request

Hi,
I really enjoy your forums and appreciate the work you’re doing. I have a question about a feature for my own tech forum, which runs on Discourse.
I want to encourage users to log in when accessing my uploads, guides, and links. Is there a way to set it up so that users can see the content of a post but not the links or uploaded files unless they are logged in?
I don’t want to require users to log in just to view a post, as that might reduce engagement. Ideally, I want them to see the post itself, but only reveal the links and uploaded content once they’ve logged in.

The best way to do this I think is to put the uploads and links in a secure category.
You could also try enabling the `prevent anons from downloading files` setting. I have not used this before so if you try it please let us know how it works out for you!
