# Long links break the click tracker

While I still see `max_url_length = 500` in [this source](https://meta.discourse.org/t/link-s-href-is-cut-off-after-500-characters/44658/5):

I have a [1400 character long URL](https://community.metabrainz.org/t/discourse-url-length-limit-500/328017/4?u=jesus2099) that now works!  
This [853 character long URL](https://meta.discourse.org/t/long-links-break-the-click-tracker/33702/3) now works!
