# '@' lookup in assignment comment

I’m assigning to a group, but I’d like to ping/FYI an additional user who’s not in that group. The `@` lookup doesn’t work. I wish it did.

Can such additional one see a note of assigment (is that even a word…)? I thought it is visible just for admins and that group.

Everyone on staff is TL4 & can see whispers, assignments &etc. I’ve assumed this kind of mention would generate a notification, but maybe not…?

Yes, it does generate a notification for users that can see the relevant assign, so the autocomplete would help (and should filter to only the users that can see the assign)
