Continuing the discussion from [Does the mail-receiver work with arm?](https://meta.discourse.org/t/does-the-mail-receiver-work-with-arm/283908/10):

It has been mentioned a couple of times on meta, but I guess it’s better if it has its own #Contribute > Feature request topic.

Discourse works great on ARM servers. I never came across any issue.
Unfortunately, running it on this architecture prevents you from using the [official mail-receiver image](https://meta.discourse.org/t/configure-direct-delivery-incoming-email-for-self-hosted-sites-with-mail-receiver/49487).

From a technical perspective, I know absolutely nothing and I (confidently) rely on what Matt said in the linked topic:

> It would certainly be possible to support `mail-receiver` on ARM systems. There’s nothing amd64-specific in there (or, at least, there wasn’t when I made it, and I can’t imagine any major changes would have been made to invalidate that assumption).

> If anyone’s interested, I’ve done an arm64 image build and pushed it to `womble/discourse-mail-receiver:arm64`, to tide people over until such time as the core team can get an official image build spun up. See [my branch’s README](https://github.com/mpalmer/discourse-mail-receiver/tree/arm64-build#arm64-support) for more details on limitations (no `socketee` for now; I’ll add it if anyone says they need it), how to use it, and how to report problems (ie “tell me, not the core team”).
