I noticed that tags can easily be mistaken by normal text and part of a title, for example here: ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/f/f/d/ffdcb10962e8e6177fd697892a605f7fbc970904.png) At a glance it can be read “Using Discourse reference”. Wouldn’t it be better if all tags had the hashtag, because it’s something people got used to? I just noticed that tag colors can be changed via CSS, so that’s good. I also noticed that some tags already have custom icons, which is also good. ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/e/2/b/e2b552194bd3bec42f13e1281acee6fe81e2de11.png) So: 1 - How to add those custom icons to tags? (update: [found the component here](https://meta.discourse.org/t/tag-icons/109757/61)) 2 - I still think that being able to do this on a Settings type of page, for both the icon and the color, would be great, so any admin can do it, with or without CSS knowledge. ---

Yes, good suggestion! we have some loose plans to build this in to Discourse, but it hasn’t made it to the top of our priorities yet ---

One step at a time. This is not a priority for sure, especially because it can be done with the component and via CSS. Good to know that it’s something you might implement in the future.
