# Manual update user to TL1 after he reached the reply limits. He still cannot post

The `max replies in first day` setting also affects users with trust level 1. You could increase the trust level to 2 or increase the amount of replies.

Ah I see. Well, isn’t it a bit strange? I mean, isn’t TL0 already what is meant to act as a barrier for bots/fakes/etc?

I would expect a TL1 to be a fully fledged user without anything in common, simply different (lower) limits than a TL2.
