# Manually promoted users not receiving the welcome PM

There’s an [issue](https://meta.discourse.org/t/send-promotion-pms/17248/37) with the welcome PM’s not being sent after manual promotion.

Sorry, I’m not sure this has come up before with any of our paying customers, so it is not on our radar.
