# Many ruby processes on my client machine

Hi,
I have just launched my discourse site on a server. When I try to use the site, after a while my client machine got slow down. I checked the running processes and saw 5 ruby processes each of which uses approx. 250 Mb memory. Note that this is the client machine not the server. Is this normal? I’m using ubuntu and chrome.

That doesn’t sound particularly normal. Are you sure you installed on the correct machine? One terminal prompt can look quite like another.

I’m using ubuntu’s system monitor utility (not a shell prompt) so I’m sure that this is my client machine.
