Markdown parser unable to parse blockquote if there's space before <

(Aahan Krish) #1

For example (notice the space before the >):

 > Hello, this is a blockquote.

Results in:

Hello, this is a blockquote.

(Confirmed with markdown dingus.)

Although nothing to prioritize, this is another edge case (probably) that the markdown parser misses. @eviltrout

While I don’t think space before > is common, there is use case where it could feasibly happen. This works fine in real Markdown.

> Line 1
> > Line 2

Line 1

Line 2

Yes that should absolutely be working! @eviltrout?

I believe this is now fixed, can you verify @eviltrout?

Definitely fixed now, thanks for reporting it.
