# Marking a response as a solution

When a response is marked as a solution, does it appear at the top of a search that is relevant to it? Or does it not impact the search function?

Hello,

You can filter a search by going to any and pressing ‘are solved’

Awesome thanks! Can you only filter as you are searching? Or as the host of a forum can I filter so that my users see the solutions?

Actually you can add a filter to a category if you enable the solved plugin so your users can see all the solved and unsolved topics.

If you go to `admin, plugins` and press settings for solved plugin there will be this checkbox
