Mathjax can't render equation with label properly in v0.9.9?

(Abel Van) #1

Even in the newest version, it seems that the mathjax plugin can’t render equation with label properly, for example

\begin{equation}
\label{eq:1}
a+b=c
\end{equation}

what’s more, even the < and > is not proceed properly, I must have a space instered to mark them to be not the HTML mark, I believe it’s easy to auto-replace them to be < and >, isn’t it?

I also tried to fix the first bug by directly refter the the equation label #mjx-eqn-1, but it seem that this link is not correctly, which will bring you to the root/home page, not the current topic, as a test, you can see my site:
http://discourse.lttt.freeshell.ustc.edu.cn/t/topic/7, in the section mathjax, and just check the hyperlink (1).

As for your angle brackets question, HTML is allowed in Markdown, try it yourself. It is part of the spec.

We can’t really control this, so moving off the bugs category:

@Kasper @masda70 can you have a look?

@sam I’ll look at this.
