# Max Replies: Option to turn off

I wondered if there was an option to turn off the two “max replies” setting? It’s not a good option for my forum as there will be lots of back to back postings from regular members. Also, I have already raised the limit high, but members are still getting the error message after just posting twice (so can’t post the second message) on their own topic.

It sounds like you may have missed the rate limiting setting `max consecutive replies`.

Yes, I have that set to a high number and it still wouldn’t allow my user to post a second post on her topic.

Can you post a picture of your settings and a picture of the errors that your members are seeing? Without that information we’re flying a bit blind.
