# Mention group/user without notification

Right now, when you @ mention someone in the markdown editor, it turns into a link to the user’s profile page. When clicked that takes you away from the editor which is a little annoying. I noticed in the richtext editor nothing happens when you clcik on it.

What if that were to pop up a little modal right by the link that allows you to toggle whether or not to notify that user? When notification is toggled off, the ~ is appended to the markdown.
