# Een gebruiker een e-mail sturen

Hi

Is it possible to send a personal message to a user via email rather than having to log into our Discourse site via a web browser or app?

I tried username@siteURL but it was rejected. The user has messaging enabled so did I address the email incorrectly or is this not possible?

Hey @AlanM

I’m afraid that isn’t possible, no. Your users aren’t given an additional email address via the site.

Groups and categories can be mail-enabled, but not individuals.
