# Messages section for sidebar

This does indeed work very nicely. Somewhat embarrassingly, I’m one of the authors (very much secondary to @lilly) of [that TC](https://meta.discourse.org/t/navigation-sidebar-menu-display-control/277687) 😳!

Would be great to have this in the OP.
