Oh, and I am on OSX and Chrome web browser.
I don’t know why but when I tried to find this topic yesterday I couldn’t.
Here is my feedback on this new Mete Branded redesign: I like it!
It is really clean - very simple and un-intimidating.
It took a day or two, I wasn’t sure about the purple but in dark mode at night… really easy on the eyes, just enough contrast between read and unread items ect. and overall really simple, clean and nice. Bravo!
Problem in the iOS app: can’t select text correctly if using Meta Branded. Works with Horizon, so assuming it’s a Theme problem.
FWIW the linked text on the dark theme version is just below readable for me — I switched to Fondation and Horizon to compare, and those are OK to my eyes. However, squint as I might, I can’t read the purple on dark on Meta Branded (at night, when the dark theme is supposed to serve its purpose.)
Yes, thanks for posting. I’m aware the colors are not ideal right now.
We just added a new theme modifier that lets themes limit available color schemes, so we can work on the colors for this theme without the hard-coded hack I mentioned earlier. I’ll update the color scheme with the next iteration of the theme.
Yeah I raised this early on Meta Branded redesign: theme refresh - #8 by merefield
I really like the colour from a pure aesthetic design perspective but in terms of usability it destroys my varifocals!

Sorry, must have missed it! Have been on the sidelines lately ![]()
Oops, turns out a theme I have for last.fm is incorrectly applying to Meta which has a { color: var(--red) } which is incorrect, which is probably why I only saw it on my laptop and not phone or PC. Sorry for the scare!
