# Migrate a phpBB3 forum to Discourse

I read the topic multiple times and did a few migrations, but each time I’ve been confused with this plugin and have encountered similar bugs. I’m on my third migration and it drove me crazy. I think how this plugin work can confuse users that do migrations.

It should be specified somewhere that the plugin should be activated on Discourse **after** the migration process. If it’s already written somewhere, I may have missed it and maybe this information should be emphasized.

Please correct me if I’m wrong. 🙂
