# Migrate from Invision Power Board

Hello,
I’m investigating migrating our Invision Power Board forum to Discourse, either hosted or one-time install. Is there a converter in place, or how would I go about this?

If you would prefer a self install, and self migration, it is likely you could use vanilla porter to convert to a format we have an existing importer for.

Only 300ish members and around 750 posts. I’d like to move to Discourse and then begin promoting it as a place to utilize more heavily.
