# Migrating vB5 to Discourse

I have imported a vBulletin forum many times. Where exactly are you getting stuck?
If you don’t care about your attachments you can use the easier way of importing where you first convert your forum to vanila format and then import the vanilla file to the WordPress.
Use the following tutorial:

I think he was concerned that vBulletin 5 has a different database schema than vBulletin 4.
I _think_ our vBulletin importer assumes a version of 3 or 4…

Indeed, I have managed to migrate a vB4 to Discourse but vB5 is quite annoying since the structure is completely different.
