Missing category logos

I have a site under development and I added category logos on each category.
I’m not sure when it happened but now all my categories are showing the generic site logo.
On one I even went into the category’s settings and deleted the logo, saved it, and re-added it and it’s still not showing up.

Any idea where to start troubleshooting this?

I’ve seen this happen when the ‘desktop category page style’ in your settings is changed. If it’s set to something like ‘Categories with Featured Topics,’ sometimes the logo placement behaves differently. It might also be worth checking if you have a plugin like ‘Category Icons’ active that could be conflicting with the native logo uploads!

Is that the default category banner or a theme component?

The colored line on the left makes me think this might be Discourse Category Headers theme component

Mine is set to ‘Boxes with Subcategories’, but as far as I’m aware, that only affects the /categories page, and the logos work there.

And I’m not using Category Icons, but that leads me to…

Yes, I’m using that component, but I have not changed any of it’s settings so I’m not sure what triggered the logos to stop loading.
This is how it’s always been set:

Do you see your category logo in the core banner if you enable safe mode?

Indeed…

Then it doesn’t seem to be a problem with Discourse itself. I would post in the topic of the component. Problems with components should be discussed in their topics. Maybe there is a bug, or it needs to be updated because something in Discourse changed.
