Do you see your category logo in the core banner if you enable safe mode ?

Then it doesn’t seem to be a problem with Discourse itself. I would post in the topic of the component. Problems with components should be discussed in their topics. Maybe there is a bug, or it needs to be updated because something in Discourse changed.
